VINTRI TECHNOLOGIES SELECTED TO RECEIVE MORE THAN $860,000 CAD THROUGH THE GOVERNMENT OF CANADA’S BUSINESS SCALE-UP AND PRODUCTIVITY PROGRAM
CALGARY-BASED SOFTWARE COMPANY NOW POSITIONED FOR RAPID GROWTH
CALGARY, Alberta – Western Economic Diversification Canada (WD) announced it has selected Calgary-based Vintri Technologies Inc. (Vintri) as a recipient of $861,250 in federal funding through the Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program. The BSP program offers interest-free repayable funding to high-growth incorporated businesses that are scaling-up and producing innovative goods, services, or technologies.
Vintri’s recent achievements in providing innovative data preparation software solutions to support the Canadian Energy industry’s digital transition and the growth potential in new markets that require asset digitization and advanced material traceability—such as agriculture, aerospace, and renewables—contributed to the company’s success in being awarded BSP funding.
“It is a distinct honour to be selected by Western Economic Diversification Canada for BSP program funding,” stated Vintri Technologies CEO, Brendan Boyle. “This capital will permit the firm to readily expand its operations throughout North America and create a significant number of jobs for Albertans and Canadians in the process.”
Thanks to this opportunity, Vintri will accelerate its hiring strategy, which includes employing former oil and gas personnel who were downsized due to recent economic challenges experienced in the sector.
“Our Canadian team is currently based across three provinces and consists of individuals that have direct experience in the energy sector,” Boyle continues. “Being able to draw from this market segment has enabled Vintri to build an experienced and knowledgeable workforce, directly resulting in our success to date.”
“The federal government is listening to Canadians and understands the impacts that transformation in the natural resources sector is having on businesses and communities,” said the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages, and Minister responsible for Western Economic Diversification Canada. “We are committed to helping organizations and individuals adapt so they can continue to achieve success. Our investment will help Vintri Technologies bring their innovative software solutions to new industries and enable the company to increase the number of quality jobs available to Canadians.”
